Alex & Miriam’s Wedding in the French Alps by Stanbury Photography

Variety is why we love Wedding Photography more than any other type of photography, you never quite know where the next booking will be… a local church, a Villa in Italy, a beach in the sun OR on the side of a mountain in the French Alps!!!

Sameons in the French Alps is just beautiful, it looks as though it hasn’t changed for decades and it as easy to see why Alex & Miriam fell in love with this small French Ski resort, its just timeless.

Now snow doesn’t come to mind with Alex & Miriam as they live in Abu Dhabi (not well known with snow) but they wanted snow and boy did they have snow.

The wedding reception was a 5* chalet exclusive to them and their family & friends and the wedding location was in the meadow a short walk from the chalet and WOW what a location… what a view!!! 360 degree panoramic views of the Alps was the backdrop for their intimate wedding ceremony.

Photographing in the snow can be difficult, what with the errr snow and the cold but on the day it was gorgeous. The sun shone the air was warm and it was just a joy to photograph in one of the most stunning locations we have had the honour to photograph a wedding in.

Alex & Miriam are such a wonderful couple and Miriam especially knew just what photography she wanted and we are so honoured that they chose Stanbury Photography as their Destination Wedding Photographers for their intimate wedding, we had such an amazing time and really enjoyed their company and the company of their family & friends…. what a great group of people.

With every high involved with shooting such an amazing wedding there is always a low, and the low was having to leave Sameons, the place is just soooo picturesque but we have some truly amazing wedding photographs to remind us of yet another amazing Wedding abroad.Heres just a few of our favourite images.
